This is the last full week before school starts for Toots next week - Wednesday. UGH - so bummed summer is over!! Shark starts on the 24th - he's got an extra week. We've had a wonderful one, and hope all my kiddies out there in Blogger Land have had a good one, too.
Shark had his wisdom teeth removed yesterday. Now keep in mind he just turned 15 - is 6'3" tall, wears a 15 shoe, and weighs right at 240. The kid is HUGE. But somehow he became a 15 month old ( not to insult 15 year olds, mind you!!) the day before and morning of the surgery.
His wisdom teeth have not grown roots yet, and if they did, they would grow and crowd out the teeth from which the braces were just removed. Not good. So out they had to go.
Yesterday he was groggy and whiny most of the day -- last night he was a monster. Today he is up and about, and happy. Advil is totally relieving any pain. He's into his little projects today - building circuit boards and guy stuff like that. He even has somehow mustered enough strength and energy to fight with his sister....
All in all it's been an awesome summer. We had two fabulous trips, the kids have spent time with their friends and had so much fun, and everyone's health has been great. It's also been totally refreshing and uplifting to be free of some drama in my life - lovin' not hearing negative things allllll the time! Isn't it nice when things just move on and you feel really good about them moving on?!?!

5 Talk to Momma!:
Toothache pain is the worst. I am so happy your son is feeling better. And yes, maam, you have had quite the summer. You deserve it Mama!
I love that you have had such a great summer! And glad that Shark is feeling better and being less of a baby! ;)
Glad your boy is getting better. Can't believe summer is almost gone!
From looking at your pics on FB it looks like you had a great summer. I can't believe your kids go back to school so early. Our kids don't go back until the first week of September.
Hey, when I had just one of my wisdom teeth pulled last summer at the age of 42, I acted like a 15-month old for the entire month leading up to it!
Turned out to be nothing at all, but the anticipation made me impossible. Glad he's feeling better, and I can't believe they're already going back. We've got until the 2nd.
